ケーブルに使われる頭字語 - DSX CableAnalyzer

The DSX CableAnalyzer implements the cable type designations found in ISO/IEC 11801.

There is a great variety of cable constructions and a number of systems to describe these constructions in a shortened form. Below is how ISO/IEC 11801 uses abbreviations for twisted pair 100 Ω cables.

Here are some examples of cable constructions and their name based on this scheme.

  • U/UTP = overall unscreened cable with unscreened twisted pairs (often referred to as UTP)
  • F/UTP = overall screened cable with unscreened twisted pairs (often referred to as FTP)
  • S/FTP = overall braided screened cable with foil twisted pairs (often referred to as STP or PiMF)
