The tips on the DSX-PLA004 and DSX-PLA804 Permanent Link adapters used by the DSX CableAnalyzer are field replaceable. If the tips are worn and exhibit persistent open pins on wiremap during testing, replacing the tips is a much less expensive option than replacing the entire DSX-PLA004S or DSX-PLA804S (Permanent Link Adapter Set).
When you order the DTX-PLA002PRP or DSX-PLA804SPRP you will get:
- Tip x 2
- Spring latch x 2
- Conductive washer x 2
- Screw x 2

The kits are used to replace the tips on the DSX-PLA004 and DTX-PLA002 (used on DTX-1800 Series) or DSX-PLA804SPRP Permanent Link Adapters.
Note that the tips in the DTX-PLA002PRP kit will not work properly in the DSX-PLA804 adapters. For the DSX-PLA804 adapters, use the tips in the DSX-PLA804SPRP kit.
